We ended the year in typical fashion, with hands on experiences, a huge mess, a little crazy, and a whole lot of giggles. We also harvested all of the vegetables from our garden (ask them how tiny the carrots were!). I apologize for not getting more pictures...my hands were typically covered in dirt, paint, bubbles, slime and shaving cream this week! I do have one last shot of the students walking down the halls on the last Friday of their PreK year. We are all balancing pool noodles on our heads as we walk in line (it was amazing how carefully and quietly we walked). Thank you for your continued love and support throughout the year. If you have suggestions of ways I can improve future PreK learning experiences, I would love to hear them. Have a great summer and I look forward to seeing your children next year. They are ALWAYS welcome to visit the classroom. :) Two field trip posts in a row! No wonder I'm exhausted. ;) We had fun at the park. I was able to take a few individual pictures when the kids stood still...I will get them out this weekend via personal emails. Here are a couple of group shots to tide you over.
Testing will impact our schedule this month, but we will survive! Students are going to the gym in the morning for "Specials" and waiting until after lunch for our wellness time. We are excited to watch how much our garden grows each day!
It's only Tuesday, and we have already learned so much about bees! Today was very special, because we visited the STEM lab at school. Mrs. Hannan shared some valuable information about honey bees and we had the opportunity to observe the hive!
The students started preparing our garden for planting this week. We should be ready to go by Friday.
We are in full St. Patrick's day mode this week and it's only Wednesday! The students have been making leprechaun traps (we will see if we catch any tomorrow), watching parades, and listening to bagpipes.
