Of course! All of our Pre-K students are special, amazing, talented, and smart!
Over the past couple of weeks, we have been discussing how special/unique we are. After tomorrow, every child will have made a fingerprint creation. Can you guess if your child chose: The blue and purple fish? The red and yellow birds? Or the green and yellow caterpillar? On Friday we will look at our unique fingerprints that are original, just like us!

This week in math we are talking about the different ways to measure.
We have compared heights, lengths, and weights. Which student taller? Whose foot is longer? Whose arm is shorter? Which panda is heavier? How do we know for sure? Does the lighter or heavier side go down on the balance scale? Although I do have to say that I had a young man ask me today, "Mrs. Reynolds, when are you going to start teaching us?" I smiled I asked him if he learned about how to measure in math today and he said, "Yes, but that was us learning, not you teaching, because WE had to do all the work!" Where did your class fly this week?
For the next few weeks we are "traveling" to Africa on Tuesdays! I promise to have them back in time for moms and dads to pick them up, some of the children were a little worried! We read a book about native animals and voted for our favorite African structure (pyramids won). How did you decide to fly? Some of the children blasted off like rockets, some fly like planes, others wanted to fly like birds or fairies. |
