We are 100 days smarter! To celebrate, we counted by 10's and made crowns. Each strip had 10 of something (stickers, dots, pictures, glitter blobs, stamps, letter punches, tissue paper) and we each made (or tried to make!) 10 strips. When we added them all together we counted to 100!

We are celebrating all things cold this month! This week we are traveling to Antarctica, building igloos, and learning about the states of water.
We predicted what would make the ice melt the fastest and conducted our own experiments (although we were not able to test "summertime" or "fire" for obvious reasons). We also played pass the ice cube to see which team could melt the ice first. It was a close race, but the girls melted their ice cube quicker. I love hearing all of your children's stories about their snow days! As much as I dislike the snow, I am so happy that they had this experience.
We are learning all about snow/winter this week. Students will be making snowmen using marshmallows to paint, rolling dice to determine their snowman "parts", and writing letters/words in the "snow". We will also celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We have read about his dream and gave him a thumbs up for trying to make the world a better place. We will think of how WE can make a difference in the world as well :) |
