The kids did an awesome job today during our Polar Express excursion.
After reading the story we retold the key points and watched a couple of the songs on youtube. We made snowmen out of doughnut "rolls" (their words, not mine!), frosted a cookie to take home (we also had a birthday celebration), and had a taste of hot chocolate. Oh! We also had a visit from the big guy himself. It was a busy day and the students are exhausted, but I think overall it was a huge success!

We have a set of blocks that have been stuck in the blocks cart for the last several weeks. While we have tried many ways to get the blocks back out, we were struggling to come up with a solution. Today, we worked as a superhero team and worked together to solve the problem.
We needed something very thin and sticky to slide between the tiny cracks between the blocks. We decided to use tape to make handles to pull the blocks from the cart. Once the first block was free, the other ones slid right out! I am SUPER proud of my little problem solvers this week! |
