We were able to meet so many animals at Oatland Island. We were allowed to pet the donkey and rabbit. We fed the sheep (if we wanted to). We also walked the trails to see wolves, alligators, a cougar, bison and more!

We have been learning about what a paleontologist does. I'm so happy that we are spending two weeks on such a great topic this year. All of the students seem to be enjoying this career. We dug up dinosaur bones in our sensory table, put together big puzzles, made habitats for dinosaurs in blocks, studied real fossils in science and measured an Apatosaurus in the hallway! This is just what we are learning during center time! I didn't have a chance to take any pictures during formal instruction.
We are practicing being astronauts this week. We used the letters of our name to build rockets, built 3D rockets using recyclable materials and manned the control board during centers. The students seem to be having fun learning this week!
